I Want To Believe You

But your lies, they’re as pretty as you.
Your smile used to steal my breath away,

But this time I’d prefer to stay away.

I want to believe you,

But I’m too old for folklores and fables.

Your caramel tongue, webbing fancy lies

It’s fakeness stinging the eye.

Yes I was your friend

Now you’re just somebody with business. Did I wish for more?

I’m glad I never got the chance to.

I want to believe you

You see, but my mind already knows the truth .

Your  voice ringing in my head

Like a bell, I scream never again

I want to believe you,

But your tricks they’re as fancy as you.

I wanted to be your friend

Not this drama you displayed in the end.
